Where to get it

The program started out as “Condor” over 20 years ago and has evolved to later versions called Condor 1 (C1), and now Condor 2 (C2) which has been active for at least the past five or six years with various updates having been completed.   Condor 3 is soon to be released – or so I hear but, I don’t recommend waiting for C3.  You will be missing out on a lot of fun if you wait, and who knows when a bug free version will be released.

One place that makes it simple to buy both the software and the hardware for Condor 2 is Paul Remde’s web site: Cumulus Soaring.  He’s honest, helpful and reliable.  See

//www.cumulus-soaring.com/

The primary web page for Condor is:  //www.condorsoaring.com

You can also buy directly from that site, but Paul makes it much easier for those of us here in the USA.

The Condor Club is where you will see the names of the hundreds of pilots who are competing in Condor Races.  It costs $13 of so dollars per year to belong, but it is worth that.  See it at:

Landscapes are sometime huge and take a while to download, but they are free of charge and abundant.  You will want to get the Condor Updater.  If you are going to race with other glider pilots, you will need to have the same landscape loaded on your computer as everyone else that is racing,  so plan ahead and be sure to get the tool that uploads landscapes effortlessly.
